Product description
Non-toxic Eco-friendly Outdoor Non-intumescent Fire-resistive Thick Fireproof Coating for Steel Structures
This product is a composite material formulated from lightweight thermal insulation material and inorganic hydraulic setting material. When applied to the surface of outdoor steel structures, it forms a fire-resistant and thermal-insulating protective layer, effectively preventing fire-induced damage to load-bearing steel components. The product demonstrates excellent adhesion, flexibility, weather resistance, and decorative performance, along with superior crack resistance.

Construction Technology
1. Prior to application, the steel structure surface must be thoroughly derusted, cleaned, and free of oil, dust, and other contaminants. Apply two coats of anti-corrosion primer.
2. The product shall be applied using spraying or troweling techniques. To ensure optimal adhesion between the fire-resistive coating and the anti-corrosion primer on the steel structure, a single coat of interfacial layer must be applied.
3. Mixing ratio for the interfacial layer coating (powder material : water : binder = 100:120:40). Stir thoroughly before application. The wet mixture must be used within 2 hours and prepared as needed.
4. Refer to the table below for the mixing ratios of the intermediate and topcoat layers. Stir thoroughly before application. The wet mixture must be used within 2 hours and prepared as needed.
| NO. | Coating application method | Coating : Water : Binder (by weight ratio) |
|
1
|
Spraying | 100:120:5 |
|
2
|
Troweling | 100:100:5 |
5. Application shall be carried out in multiple layers, with each layer's thickness controlled between 7-10 mm until the specified thickness is achieved. Each subsequent layer should be applied only after the previous layer has dried sufficiently (approximately 24-hour intervals between applications). During interlayer construction, the surface of the fire-resistive coating should not be smoothed but left rough to enhance adhesion between layers.
6. During and within 24 hours after coating application, the coating must be protected from rain. The ambient temperature shall be maintained between 5°C and 35°C.
7. After the non-intumescent fire-resistive coating for steel structures reaches the design thickness and final setting, it shall undergo 7 days of moist curing, preferably via spray misting, followed by 21 days of natural curing. During curing, the coating must be protected from freezing, impact, and water washing.
8. Once the fire-resistive coating reaches the required thickness and dries completely, apply two coats of decorative topcoat to effectively extend the service life of the entire coating system.
9. Refer to the product's latest test report for specific application rates and layer thicknesses at each construction stage.
Notes
1. The entire package must be mixed at once and used immediately upon preparation.
2. Construction should not proceed under the following conditions: temperatures below 5°C or above 35°C, or wind speeds exceeding 5 m/s.
3. Store the material off the ground in a dry, ventilated area to prevent moisture absorption and caking. Ensure proper sealing during storage and transportation to avoid exposure to moisture or rain, as material degradation will occur if dampened.
4. The dedicated binder provided with this coating must be stored at temperatures ≥5°C.
5. Shelf life: 9 months.
