Product description

Premium Intumescent Epoxy Coating for Steel Structures: Two-Component High-Build Fire Protection System

SGHY Intumescent Epoxy Coating for Steel Structures: Two-Component High-Build Fire Protection System — Fireproof Coating

This product is formulated with special epoxy resin as the base material and features a P-N intumescent flame-retardant system as its primary ingredient. It is produced using American technology through a fully enclosed and automated manufacturing process. This product is a two-component high-build fire-resistive coating that exhibits excellent weather resistance, water resistance, acid and alkali resistance, heat exposure resistance, and salt spray corrosion resistance. Additionally, it offers special properties such as rapid drying speed, high bonding strength, and prolonged fire resistance duration.

Construction Technology

   1.    The steel structure substrate must be decontaminated and rust - proofed, and generally at least two coats of high - quality anti - rust primer should be applied.

  2.    After the primer is completely dry, the dust and dirt on the surface of the anti - rust paint must be removed before applying the steel structure fire - retardant coating.

  3.    Before using the product, it must be thoroughly mixed according to the specified mixing ratio. The application is generally carried out by spraying or troweling; it is recommended to use specialized heated two-component spraying equipment for construction.
  4.    When using airless spraying equipment, carefully control the application viscosity and the thickness of each coat. A small amount of thinner can be used for dilution, but the amount should be controlled within 10% of the coating volume. The prepared product must be used up within 2 hours; materials left unused for more than 2 hours should not be used further.
  5.     Construction Mixing Ratio: Component A : Component B = 2.5:1
  6.     Construction should be carried out following the principles of top-to-bottom, left-to-right, inside-to-outside, difficult-to-easy, and crisscross patterns.
  7.     Determine the coating thickness and number of coats based on the fire resistance rating standards specified by the design and fire department.
   8. When the coating thickness exceeds 6mm, it is recommended to reinforce with fiberglass mesh.
   9.      The construction temperature for this product should be controlled between 5ºC and 38ºC, with humidity not exceeding 85%. Construction should not be carried out in rainy, snowy, foggy, windy weather, or when there is condensation on the steel surface.
   10.     The interval between successive coats should be controlled at approximately 24 hours and should not be excessively long.

Notes
      1.    If airless spraying is adopted, a special sprayer must be used. Avoid excessive dilution of the coating, as this will affect the adhesion of the product. Construction is not suitable when the wind force exceeds level 5.

    2.

    3.    Store in an environment of 0-38ºC, keep away from fire sources and heat sources, and prevent exposure to sunlight.

    4.    The storage period is 12 months.
