Product description

The Composition of The Chlorinated Rubber Topcoat

FM-F005

Chlorinated rubber, plasticizer, pigment, auxiliary agent, etc. constitute the chlorinated rubber topcoat

Product Description:

This product is composed of chlorinated rubber, plasticizers, pigments, additives, and other components. Its key characteristics include low permeability of water vapor and oxygen through the paint film, along with excellent water resistance, robust anti-corrosion and decorative properties. It dries rapidly, several times faster than oil-based paints, and demonstrates superior low-temperature application performance, allowing for construction in environments ranging from -20°C to 50°C. The paint film layers blend seamlessly into one another, ensuring exceptional interlayer adhesion. When repainting over existing chlorinated rubber coatings, there is no need to remove firmly adhered old paint, making maintenance convenient. Additionally, the product offers excellent weather resistance and durability.

Application Fields:
It is used for coating on steel structures, pipelines, storage tanks, and building surfaces.

Surface treatment:

To ensure long-lasting adhesion of the coating, all surfaces must be clean, dry, and coated with a sound and compatible primer (in compliance with ISO 12944-4, Clause 46.1). If the previous coating has been contaminated, appropriate methods should be selected to remove grease and dust; the diluent of this paint can also be used for wiping clean.

Compatible Coatings

Epoxy zinc-rich primer, inorganic zinc-rich primer, epoxy mica iron oxide intermediate coat, etc.

Construction conditions:
Substrate temperature must exceed the dew point by at least 3°C, with relative humidity <85% and wind speed ≤ Level 3.Outdoor applications shall avoid rainy, foggy, or dusty conditions, as well as morning/evening dew formation.Under normal circumstances, the coated surface should not be exposed to rain within 16 hours after application.

Notes:

The tools used for construction should be kept dry and clean, and no impurities such as moisture or grease should be mixed into the coating.

Storage:

1.The product must be stored in tightly sealed containers in a well-ventilated, dry area away from direct sunlight. The recommended storage temperature range is 0-35°C.
2.The product shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Beyond this period, the product may be retested according to specifications. If compliant, it may continue to be used.

Safety:

1.Use only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid inhalation of mists or vapors. Prevent contact with skin and eyes. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek immediate medical attention.
2.When applying in confined or poorly ventilated spaces, mandatory forced ventilation and full protective equipment (respirator, gloves, goggles) must be used.
