Construction Technology
1. Prior to application, clean the steel structure thoroughly and apply at least two layers of high-quality anti-rust primer.
2. Ensure the primer is fully dry before eliminating surface residues, then proceed with the fire-retardant coating.
3. Stir the product evenly before use. Application can be done using brushing, rolling, or spraying techniques. If needed, a diluent may be added but should not exceed 10% of the coating volume.
4. Follow a methodical approach by coating from top to bottom, left to right, from the inside to the outside, tackling complex areas first.
5. Base the coating thickness and layers on fire protection standards set by design specifications and fire regulations.
6. For optimal adhesion, keep the initial coat's thickness at ≤ 0.4mm. Allow each layer to dry completely before subsequent applications, ensuring total thickness aligns with design requirements.
7. Maintain construction temperatures between 5ºC and 38ºC. Ensure humidity remains under 85%. Avoid work during rain, snow, fog, strong winds, or condensation on steel surfaces.
8. Once the coating achieves required thickness and drying, apply 1-2 layers of specialized topcoat for protection and aesthetics. Coloring the fire-retardant layer itself isn't advisable.
9. Ensure a minimum 24-hour interval between each coat application.
10. Consult the latest product test report for precise application quantities and thickness at every stage.
Notes
1. Use a dedicated sprayer for airless spraying. Avoid excessive dilution to preserve product adhesion. Refrain from application if wind strength exceeds level 5.
2.
3. It is essential to store the product in a temperature-controlled environment ranging from 0-38ºC, away from any fire and heat sources, while also safeguarding it from direct sunlight exposure.
4. The product's storage life extends to a robust 12 months, ensuring sustained performance.
