Construction Technology

1. The steel structure substrate must first be thoroughly decontaminated and rust-proofed. It is generally recommended to apply at least two coats of premier quality anti-rust primer.

2. Once the primer is fully dry, ensure all dust and dirt are removed from the surface before applying the fire-retardant coating for steel structures.

3. Stir the product thoroughly before use to ensure even consistency. Application is typically executed via brushing, rolling, or spraying. If viscosity is excessively high, a diluent may be employed, ensuring the dilution does not exceed 10% of the total coating amount.

4. Follow a strategic construction sequence: top-to-bottom, left-to-right, inside-first-then-outside, challenging-first-then-easy, and crisscrossing, for optimal results.

5. Determine the requisite coating thickness and layer quantity as per the fire protection grade standards set by design and fire authorities.

6. To guarantee proper adhesion, the initial coating during construction should not exceed a thickness of 0.4mm. Subsequent layers can only be applied once the previous layer is completely dry, ensuring the total thickness aligns with design specifications.

7. Maintain the construction temperature between 5ºC and 38ºC, with humidity not surpassing 85%. Construction should be avoided during rain, snow, fog, strong winds, or when condensation is present on the steel surface.

8. Once the fire-retardant coating achieves the required thickness and is fully dry, apply 1-2 coats of fire-retardant special topcoat (which can be colored) for added protection and decoration. It is advisable not to tint the fire-retardant coating itself.

9. Allow an interval of more than 24 hours between successive coatings.

10. Consult the latest test report of the product for specific construction dosage and coating thickness at each stage.

Notes

1. When opting for airless spraying, utilize a specialized sprayer. Avoid excessive dilution of the coating, as this compromises product adhesion. Refrain from construction when wind force exceeds level 5.

2.

3. Store in a temperature-controlled environment ranging from 0-38ºC, while keeping a safe distance from fire sources and heat sources, and ensuring protection from direct sunlight exposure.

4. The product boasts a storage period extending up to 12 months, ensuring long-term usability.
