WCB Fireproof Coating for Outdoor Steel Structures Applications — Solvent-based Intumescent

Our cutting-edge product employs top-grade acrylic resin as its foundational material, complemented by a P-N intumescent flame-retardant system as its core component. Leveraging state-of-the-art American technology and a fully enclosed, automated production process, it offers stellar attributes such as superior weather resistance, water resistance, and resilience against acids, alkalis, heat, salt spray, and ultraviolet radiation. Further enhancing its appeal are its distinctive characteristics like exceptional bonding strength, an extended fire resistance limit, and a visually appealing finish.

Construction Technology

1. Begin by ensuring the steel structure substrate is impeccably decontaminated and rust-proofed, necessitating the application of at least two coats of a premium anti-rust primer.

2. Once the primer has dried completely, ensure all dust and debris are cleared from the anti-rust paint surface prior to applying our fire-retardant coating on the steel structure.

3. Thoroughly mix the product before application. It can be applied via brush, roller, or spray. If necessary, diluting with a thinner is permissible, but maintain within 10% of the total coating volume.

4. Follow a strategic pattern during application: top-to-bottom, left-to-right, inside-first-then-outside, tackling difficult areas before easier ones, and ensure a crisscross technique.

5. Adjust coating thickness and layer count according to the fire protection standards set by design specifications and the relevant fire department.

6. For optimal adhesion, the first layer's thickness should be ≤ 0.4mm. Subsequent layers should only be applied once the previous layer is fully dry until the design's total thickness requirement is fulfilled.

7. Ensure the construction temperature remains between 5ºC and 38ºC, with humidity not exceeding 85%. Avoid construction during rain, snow, fog, strong winds, or if condensation appears on the steel surface.

8. Once the fire-retardant coating's thickness is up to standard and fully dried, apply 1-2 coats of a fire-retardant topcoat (available in various colors) for added protection and aesthetic appeal. Coloring the fire-retardant coating itself is not advised.

9. Maintain a minimum interval of 24 hours between consecutive coatings.

10. Refer to the latest product test report to determine specific construction dosage and coating thickness for each stage.

Notes

1. If airless spraying is chosen, a specialized sprayer is mandatory. Avoid excessive dilution to ensure optimal adhesion. Construction is discouraged when wind speeds exceed level 5.

2. Exercise meticulous precision in controlling product dosage during application to ensure the coating thickness impeccably aligns with specified requirements.

3. Store with care in an environment between 0-38ºC. Keep away from ignition and heat sources, ensuring protection from direct sunlight for optimal product integrity.

4. This product boasts a storage period of up to 12 months, maintaining its efficacy and quality.
